Please visit the site regularly to stay current with any revisions or changes.
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Eligibility
The EOD Memorial scholarship is for students enrolled or planning to enroll full–time as an undergraduate in a U.S. accredited two year, four year, or vocational school during the 2010–2011 academic year. Applicant must be a family member, enrolled in DEERS, of an active duty, guard/reserve, retired, or deceased EOD Technician.
The EOD Memorial Committee determines scholarship amounts based on the funds available. Awards are paid directly to the academic institution for the student’s tuition, books, fees, and on-campus housing.
Award priorities are as follows:
- Family members of those whose names are on the EOD Memorial.
- Applicants who have never received the EOD award.
- Past EOD Scholarship recipients, with a limit of four awards per person.
Applications are reviewed anonymously by the Scholarship Selection Board, which consists of enlisted and officer spouses from each of the services. Selection criteria are academic merit, community involvement, and financial need.
