EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AFNS) — “We assemble here today to remember the sacrifice of (explosive ordnance disposal) technicians and comfort their loved ones left behind.”
With those words, Navy Capt. Adam Guziewicz, the Naval School EOD commander, welcomed almost 3,000 people to the 42nd annual memorial service honoring EOD technicians past and present.

EGLIN AFB — A suspicious device found near the Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal School on Thursday morning was blown up after being “made safe” by bomb disposal personnel.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Marines with 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, dedicated a new EOD facility here, May, 26, in honor of the first Marine EOD technician killed in the war on terror.

Commanders of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan claim Afghan bomb technicians and other members of the Afghan military and police will be able to handle the threats posed by improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and roadside bombs.
The EOD Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of our fallen EOD Warriors by providing for maintenance and upkeep of the physical memorial at Eglin AFB, FL, funding and facilitating the annual EOD Memorial Ceremony & Ball, and providing scholarships to family members of active duty, former, retired, and fallen members of the EOD Community.
